Tom Griesgraber

Coming from a guitar background, Tom picked up the Chapman Stick in 1997. An honors graduate of Berkley College of Music, Tom also studied privately with noted San Diego guitarists Peter Sprague, Art Johnson and Peter Pupping, and attended Robert Fripp's Guitar Craft.

As a soloist and as frontman for his group Agent 22, Tom has opened for a number of well known artists including Al Dimeola, Larry Carlton and Steve Lukather, the California Guitar Trio, the Tony Levin Band, Jazz Mandolin Project, Blue Floyd and the Dixie Dregs. His group has also won Best of the Year honors in the Belly Up Tavern's Spotlight San Diego competition, was voted Best Alternative Group in the San Diego Reader, and has been nominated in the San Diego Music Awards three times. Since 1999 Tom has demonstrated for Stick Enterprises at the annual NAMM international music products trade show. Since 2000 he has coordinated and taught at an annual Stick seminar in San Diego, which serves Stick players from all over the US.

Currently Tom is working on a new solo recording and a new group with noted drummer Jerry Marotta (Peter Gabriel, Paul McCartney, Tony Levin Band, Indigo Girls, Sylvian/Fripp).
